Leonardo Tonini

Leonardo Tonini was born in Castiglione delle Stiviere in 1974. Poet, editor and cultural operator, he has written about Ungaretti, Deleuze, Pinter, Spinoza, Sloterdijk and others. He has published short stories and poetry. He is co-founder of the Movimento Sannixista and runs the publishing house Gattogrigio. In 2015 he was awarded the Virgilio Masciadri Prize (Aarau, CH) for cultural promotion. In 2019, one of his poems set to music by Maestro Stefano Ghisleri was staged in Stockholm during the Italian Language Week. In 2020 he published the poetry collection Tutto il resto resta (Controluna). He writes for several poetry and film magazines, and his publications and poems have been translated into Greek, German and Swedish.
