Premio Masciadri

In memory of the literary work of the Swiss poet, writer, and classical philologist Virgilio Masciadri, Ulrich Suter, founder of the festival of poetry Seetaler Poesiesommer, suggested in 2015 that a Swiss cultural prize—the Premio Masciadri—be awarded annually. The prizewinner is selected in accordance with the family of the late Virgilio Masciadri. Since 2016, the Premio Masciadri has been awarded during a public event of the festival, either in Switzerland or abroad.
